“ Affirming my 5-Star review from 4 years ago. Fresh, tasty, creative, and flavorful seafood. We don't do sushi, but my wife repeated her delightful Goat Cheese Salas with Shrimp ($8 for 7 shrimp) and I got the Coconut Macadamia TripleTail. What a great dish! Sweet macadamia and coconut, lightly spiced red curry, and wonderful slaw on top. Oh...and great fish! Service was great during our brief stay at the bar, and by Ashley at our table. Relaxed vibe inside and nice sidewalk space outside. Great background music. Go! ”

“ Great atmosphere and food! We sat at the bar and had the spinach and artichoke dip while we waited for a table. The inside is open and inviting and has ample bar seating. We were happy to be seated outside on a gorgeous evening. My husband and I both started with the clam chowder and it was rich and delicious with lots of clam strips. We also both had the chopped cobb salad with blackened chicken. The portion was huge and filling. The chicken was juicy and had great flavor. Service was friendly and prompt. I had never been to downtown Fort Myers before but there were some very quaint streets with lots of cute shops. ”

“ Wow! I did not expect this. When we stopped for dinner on our travels through the area, I thought it would be a nice break on a long trip and that's it. Was I ever wrong! Izzy's is an amazing seafood restaurant in awakening Fort Meyers. Its modern, clean lines were coastal without being kitschy. It was a bit loud inside. If you're sensitive to that, they have a large patio outside. We ended up at the bar. Cody, the bartender, took great care of us. We started with ceviche and homemade Clam Chowder. The Clam Chowder was very nice. If you like Clam Chowder, and my husband does, you'll love it. I'm going to be honest about my starter, I didn't love the ceviche. It was way too veggie forward with what felt like a handful of fish and shrimp. I was disappointed and worried about the rest of the meal. So frequently these days restaurants have fantastic starters and just ok mains. In light of the fact that I didn't love the starters I was worried for the rest of the meal. I should not have worried. Sweet Fancy Moses! Unbelievable! It has been a long while since we've had a dish that was so well composed, so flavorful and unctuous, let alone two! We decided on Butterfish Piccata and Seafood Étouffée. I wanted to try Buddha's Hand, which was featured in the Piccata. I've never had it, and I was intrigued. I'm not sure if it was in the dish, if it was juiced or the zest was thrown in, but it was phenomenal. The Seafood Étouffée was filled with seafood and a deep, rich flavor with a snap of heat. The upshot is, what a treat! Izzy's is worth the trip! I highly recommend a stop as soon as possible. I know I can't wait to go back! ”

“ I enjoy coming here for dinner. You got to make reservations as it tends to be very busy and walk-ins are welcome but we mostly would have to wait. The food is very good then it's right sampling several items on the menu. Taco is really good, and most of the other seafood dishes were good as expected given all the hype. The atmosphere here is modern and casual. With the staff that are very friendly. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. ”

“ First time in Fort Myers and loved the downtown area. Scored some outdoor seating and drinks and food came promptly. The clam chowder was hearty and good price at $6 for a cup. The shrimp linguine had a ton of shrimp in it and the tails were cut off too! Overall good prices for what you get. ”

“ Izzy's is by far the best seafood restaurant in Fort Myers, and has to be one of the best in SW Florida. They know what they're doing with seafood, but more importantly they know how to do everything else that comes with that seafood. It all fits well. Their attentive staff and upscale interior also keeps me coming back. ”

“ Food was really good! Fried food in general, after a while, gets very tiring, so be cautious of that as the fish and chips are a popular option at this restaurant!
